New Year's Day Race at RTYC

The Royal Torbay Yacht Club hosted their traditional New Year's Day race and BYC fielded a magnificent fleet of 8 boats joining the 3 RTYC boats accompanied by their fleet of sports Boats on a separate course.

GUSTO was the winner for the Brixham fleet - well done. All the results can be seen by clicking HERE

The weather was excellent, a real treat for a Bank Holiday, and a good omen for the year.

The fleet were also invited to RTYC's clubhouse for lunch, where GUSTO received a separate trophy for first Brixham boat - well done.

All was well until SPIRITED AWAY was found to have drifted away from the pontoon with no bow line attached and her skipper receives the first wooden spoon nomination on the first day of the year!
