Conditions were very good for the first of the dinghy refresher sessions, with a decent breeze and cloudless skies, though in the shade it was a tad on the chilly side! With the help of a swathe of willing volunteers to rig the boats and launch the safety RIBs, sailors young and old, new and experienced, took to the water enthusiastically.
With the compound still hosting the yachts before crane-in, space was at a premium which hampered efforts somewhat to get everyone rigged and launched in good time but 10 boats were able to enjoy up to 30 minutes in the sunshine, and the challenges faced ashore were all part of the exercise of getting back into the swing of Monday evening sailing.
