We run Yacht racing series throughout the year – even in the Winter!

IRC and Non-IRC fleets compete on Summer Thursdays, with Non-IRC fleets on Sunday mornings all year round.

Dinghy Racing

Our varied dinghy fleet compete on Summer Monday evenings. The club offers dinghy hire to its members with up to 7 dinghies available. This is Thomas Semmens, Club Cadet member, winning the “Topper Traveller” series in Oct 2022 where he won every race to become champion.

Summer Thursdays Yacht Racing at BYC

Mid-May sailing at its best. Just enough wind to make it interesting. The IRC Fleet head out to Mark ‘X’.

BYC Training Program

Brixham Yacht Club offers year round training including shore-based and water-based courses from beginner to instructor level. Upcoming: RYA Powerboat L2 17th May, RYA Youth Dinghy Stage 1&2 24th May and 7th June

Winter Sundays Yacht Racing at BYC

January 2024, 2 degrees Celsius, 20+ knots of North Easterlies, a dozen boats out racing

Volunteering at the Club

Brixham Yacht Club’s wide range of sailing and social events create multiple volunteer opportunities for all Club Members. The club would not succeed without the help of its many volunteers. Come and join us for the best seat in the house at some of our amazing national level sailing events.

Extensive Clubhouse Facilities

The Clubhouse features a fully stocked bar in its main events area along with a restaurant serving great-value meals. Other facilities include:
