Training

Brixham Yacht Club is RYA affiliated and a RYA Recognised Training Centre. Brixham Junior Sailing Club is affiliated to BYC, and Youth sailing and courses are delivered by BJSC.

As such BYC and BJSC can provide the following RYA courses:

Afloat -

• RYA Powerboat Handling - Level 2 - 2025 dates tbc
• RYA Safety Boat - 2025 dates tbc
• Mark Layer Course - tbc

• RYA Adult Dinghy Sailing - 2025 dates tbc
• RYA Youth Dinghy Sailing - 2025 dates tbc
• RYA Youth Dinghy Start to Race 2025 dates tbc

Ashore -

• RYA Day Skipper Course - Monday 13th January 2025 - Thursday 27th March. (Every Monday and Thursday evening between these dates)
• Club Race Officer - Saturday 8th March 2025
• RYA First Aid - (2 separate dates) Saturday 8th February + Saturday 1st March 2025
