Website User Guide
How to Use the Brixham Yacht Club Website
This document is intended as an introductory guide for Brixham Yacht Club members and those who wish to book events that are open to non-members.
Please email "support@brixhamyachtclub.com" to suggest any changes to this introductory guide or to request additional information.
Logging on to the Website
Members
All active members will receive an email containing their login details for the site.
If you have not received these, please email support@brixhamyachtclub.com and we will re-send them to you.
- 1.Click 'Login' in the top right hand corner of the screen
- 2.Enter your Email address and Password and click 'Login'
If you have forgotten your password, please click 'Forgotten password' and the system will mail you a new one.
Non-Members
Non-members can register for an account at Brixham Yacht Club by performing the following steps:
- 1.Click 'Login' in the top right hand corner of the screen
- 2.Click 'Create an account now'
- 3.Fill in your details and select 'Create Account'
Change Password
To change your password, perform the following:
- 1.Login to the website using the supplied credentials
- 2.Click "Change Password" from the bottom of the menu
- 3.Enter the new password in both fields
- 4.Click "Change Password" to apply
Add a Boat to your Profile
To add a boat to your profile, perform the following steps:
- 1.Login to the website
- 2.Select the 'Member Portal' option at the top of the page
- 3.From the right-hand menu (or =More if using a mobile device), select 'My boats'
- 4.Click 'Add a new boat'
- 5.Enter all of the boat data and click 'Save' at the bottom of the screen.
Update Boat Details
To update your boat details, perform the following steps:
- 1.Login to the website
- 2.Select the 'Member Portal' option at the top of the page
- 3.From the right-hand menu (or =More if using a mobile device) select 'My boats'
- 4.Your boats will be listed - select the boat you wish to amend
- 5.Select 'Edit boat details', make your amendments and click 'Save' at the bottom
Setting Your Crew Requirements
To set your crew requirements, perform the following steps:
- 1.Login to the website
- 2.Select the 'Member Portal' option at the top of the page
- 3.From the right-hand menu (or =More if using a mobile device), select 'My boats'
- 4.Your boats will be listed - select the appropriate boat
- 5.Set your crew requirements and select 'Update' to save
If you have enabled crew requirements your boat will now be listed as looking for crew.
Purchasing Club Racing
To purchase club racing for the season, perform the following steps:
Note: if you get the following message: 'You do not have permission to view that event', and you are logged in, please contact support@brixhamyachtclub.com:
- 1.Log on to the website
- 2.Select 'Book Online' from the main menu
- 3.Select 'Enter Club Racing'
- 4.Select the relevant package from the list
- 5.Select your name and boat from the lists
- 6.Click 'Add to cart'
- 7.Once you have added all required packages, select 'Booking details'
- 8.Check your details and select 'Payment'
- 9.Complete the checkout process using your chosen method of payment
Booking a Sailing Event:
- 1.Log on to the website
- 2.Select 'Book Online' from the main menu
- 3.Select 'Sailing Event'
- 4.Select the relevant sailing event from the list
- 5.Select the relevant ticket type, this will normally be 'Adult' or 'Under 18'
- 6.Select your name and boat from the lists
- 7.Click 'Add to cart'
- 8.Once you have added all required tickets, select 'Basket' at the top of the page.
- 9.Check the contents of your basket and select 'Booking Details'
- 10.Check your details and select 'Payment'
- 11.Complete the checkout process using your chosen method of payment
